Iker Castillas’ 2010 World Cup Jersey
For the 2010 World Cup, Spain unveiled a new jersey with resemblance to the nations 1980s jersey. The fiery red Adidas jersey is accented with yellow and blue streaks and Spain’s crest of the left chest. The yellow or gold on Spain’s jerseys is a tribute to South Africa. As keeper, Iker Casillas has his own unique jersey. Casillas’ jersey emblazoned with the #1, is a sky blue capped with black over his shoulders and topped with red and gold stripes. Like the field players jerseys, Spain’s crest is on Castillas’ left pect. It is no surprise that Iker Casillas’s boasts the number 1, he has been deemed the best keeper in the World and is the Captain of the Spanish National team as well as the first pick for the 2010 World Cup squad.
